Blackberry Lemonade Artisan Soap These soaps were a labor of love. There's a custom blend of fragrances that give the fruity tanginess of one of my favorite summertime sippers. There's a little additional base note of neroli that cuts off the sweetness to make it a well rounded scent. Blooming Pear Tree Artisan Body Butter Our fruit trees were the first ones to let us know that spring was well on its way. Seemingly overnight, the trees were fully in bloom and new leaves were coming in. This body butter is solid white, with only the most simple of soap decorations on top. I couldn't resist adding as many molded soap white blooms and green leaves as I had on hand to make it extra special. It is probably one of the most gorgeous body butter designs I have ever made! The scent is not very strong, and is not a heady floral as most tend to be. It is like a powdered down floral, but with a hint of sweet and tart, and a bit of warmth from the amber note to finish it off. It isn't everyone's cup of tea, but it sure is pretty! However, it is likely that I will do seasonal versions of this scent that are like those that I've done in the past. This soap has had many versions before settling on a more year round look. Previous special visuals had embedded Autumn colored leaves (or white snowflakes for Winter style) inside the soap that appear and disappear as you use the bar. Caramelized Pear Artisan Soap If there was ever a soap that tempted me into pica territory, it's this one. It's caramel, toasted sweetness with pear juice - you've got to be joking! And yes, I went off and made a pear dessert the same week I made this soap. It smells just like a freshly turned pear upside down cake. These soaps have a delicately swirled yellow-green (EXACTLY like pear skin!! from a mica I've been dying to find a use for) and my ever favorite gold. Courage Tea Artisan Soap Sweet memories of a hot beverage on the first chilly autumn nights. Probably from a special tea that only gets brought out this one time (thyme?!) of year and has to get dug out from the back of the cupboard. The scent is reminiscent of berries and tea botanicals, sweetness is alluded to but not actually there, then fades to a familiar tea base with dryness for a well rounded cup of tea experience. The base color is brewed green tea with the loose leaf tea leaves, and a myriad of tea botanicals including cinnamon, fennel, ginger root, thyme, lemon balm, and more. Ecotone Specialty Artisan Soap This soap was a labor of love that almost went completely sideways, but rather, it took a turn that ended up for the better. This smells like fresh coastal air - not quite at the beach but when you are heading through the woods and know that the treeline is near and that the coast is literally so close you can smell it. At least that is my experience on beach trip days while living in the PNW all my life. Infusing the olive oil with green algae had more influence on the fragrance than expected by adding to my very green, sweet, woodsy scent a very briney scent. Unexpected. Unintended. Happy accident. Wholly welcome. The uncharacteristically rustic top is due to the soap getting scorching hot as it saponifies (a very exothermic reaction) - this can happen for a dozen reasons. This actually happens with some soapmaker's recipes by default, it can be encouraged, and has some cool effects on the final product (like lasting longer and intensifying colors); it is just not usually a feature of my own soaps. Flurry Artisan Soap There's something so special about the winter woods scents. Each one brings their special je ne sais quois to the lineup. No matter which types of trees are around your part of the world, the greater shared human experience is a brisk walk outside and smelling the broken limbs and crushed needles from earlier wildlife visitors (maybe that's in summer for the southern hemisphere folks). This artisan soap makes me want to live in a Christmas tree farm, preferably 3000+ft above sea level. Dressed up with a complicated mix of my favorite blue mica, and a blend of 3 shimmery, silver/white micas of different sizes, and then embossed with a swirly and winter storm pattern. Fresh Face Masks My absolute new favorite new addition to my growing product lines! I must admit, I make some batches just for myself now too. *Previously named "Rose & Lavender Face Mask Pearls". The formula is the same, however, now they are no longer pre-portioned for individual use and there is more mask by weight in these new jars.* These face masks make the easiest, weekly facial treat ever. Almond flour base makes for a shockingly soft texture that is deceptively exfoliating too. Rose, lavender, calendula, chamomile, and something strange and new to me called styrax benzoin, create an absolutely beautiful blend full of skin loving properties that new skin will drink right up. What more could we want from a mask? Oh yeah, served up with a real rose and lavender buds!! No artificial colors or fragrances. The only fragrance is from the essential oil blend! It's herbal and floral... super calming! Recommended use once per week. Fit for daily use if desired. These face masks are stored in a clear plastic twist top jar. There are about 4-5 uses per jar for a total weight of 8g. Golden ACE Facial Oil This has been almost a year in the making! This is an incredibly complex blend of oils, botanical extracts, and essential oils to bring a powerhouse of skin benefits. This is a quick absorbing, get-on-with-your-day (or -night, as it might be!), well rounded oil that has ingredients for anti-aging, anti-inflammatory, moisture retention, antibacterial, and antifungal properties. It is fragrance oil free. I have found the subtle herbal fragrance out of the bottle to not linger once applied to the skin. I hope this is a one-and-done oil. It was immediately added to my own facial care routine. This is a fragrance free skin care oil. It is gentle enough to be used on the face but can be used as a full body oil as well. Why is it called ACE? Well, besides being a top-notch formula, it is particularly high in Vitamins A, Vitamin C, and Vitamin E! This was the notation I was using when sourcing oils I wanted to use for these tiny little treasures. Then I made a matrix of ingredients that all had those properties and what else they could potentially bring to the table (or bottle, as it were). So I landed on this particular mix to help pack a nutrient and beneficial property dense punch. And it turned out pretty golden colored. Heart of Gold Specialty Artisan Soap Have someone sweet in your life who is an absolute gem? This little soap treat is made with those in mind who a floral or chocolate gift might be a bit out of the norm, but cookies are always fair game! As much as I love to bake and do so at home, I make soap here, so I bring you these snickerdoodle scented heart shaped soap! The core is an ultra rich golden shimmery glycerin heart soap. HWY-17 Artisan Soap My beloved road. What a strange stance to have, I know. Ever since I was little, the mountains near my childhood home called my name. Every part of my being was drawn to its peacefulness. It had the most striking tree line, and the first element of nature I truly fell in love with - morning fog spilling over from the coast. All it had to do was simply exist and it was beautiful for it. This is the road that let me explore this magical horizon I admired from afar for so many years. Every time I get to drive this road as an adult, I fall even deeper in love with the Californian forests filled with our Californian Redwoods (our state tree, which only lives here!), cedars, ferns, naked lady lilies (the flower version of mushrooms!), seasonal springs, clay, deer, foxes, horned owls, coastal fog trapped between the trees.... just below the heart of Silicon Valley, there's this seemingly untouched part of nature that humans built a road through and left the rest. I am so thankful that such a forest has been so close to my home for nearly all of my life. This batch of handmade soap is colored with mica blends to create a redwood worthy brown, a light green and a dark green.
