SJMADE x Cityline: Little Shops Village 2025

This September, San José Made, in collaboration with Cityline Sunnyvale, is launching a brand new outdoor retail event experience: Little Shops Village. Happening on Friday, Sept. 12 (4 pm to 9 pm) and Saturday, Sept. 13 (2 pm to 9 pm), Little Shops Village will feature 150+ makers, artists, designers, illustrators, crafters, artisans, bakers, specialty drink makers and creative small businesses all in one cozy, comfy outdoor setting at Cityline Sunnyvale. In addition to all these wonderful shopping experiences, we'll have a bunch of wonderful creative activations (think fun + crafty + creative things to do) AND an amazing selection of food trucks & food stalls.

 

Event Details

  • Event Title: SJMADE's Little Shops Village with Cityline Sunnyvale
  • Dates & Times: September 12 (4 pm to 9 pm) and September 13 (2 pm to 9 pm)
  • Location: Cityline Sunnyvale, 241 S Taaffe St Suite 180, Sunnyvale, CA 94086. The event itself will be taking place outdoors on the following street closures: (a) McKinley Ave (between Mathilda and Sunnyvale), (b) Taaffe Street (between McKinley and Vargas), and (c) Murphy Ave (between McKinley and Vargas). 
  • Details: Outdoor event. Free admission. All ages. Dog-friendly (must be leashed at all times).
  • Parking: There is free parking nearby at the Orange Garage and Pear Garage. There is additional free parking at the open air parking lot at 100 E Washington Ave.
    • {NOTICE} Please do not park in the Target parking garage. Your vehicle may be towed.

Giveaway for Attendees

The first 1,000 attendees each day of Little Shops Village who visit the SJMADE Info Booth [once the event day begins at 4 pm on Friday and 2 pm on Saturday] located near Redwood Park (see event map) will receive a free SJMADE Really Good Day Tote Bag featuring one of the designs by poster artist smoleart. 

Staff and vendors (plus vendor staff) not eligible. 

 

Workshop: Mini Succulent Felting Class by bb mad designs [SATURDAY ONLY]

Location: Booth D49 (view event map)

Price: $15 per participant (reserve your spot in advance)

Description: Come learn how to felt with me! We will be making 100% wool needle felted succulents, in a tiny ceramic pot! 45 minute class. I will bring a variety of colors to choose from!  While this class is beginner-friendly, all participants under the age of 10 must be accompanied by an adult. We will be using sharp needles and felting requires great attention to detail, hand/finger dexterity, and a trust in the process.

Workshop: Collage Booklet: Creative Pages by @tani_okay

Location: Booth D47 (view event map)

Price: $10

Description: This workshop invites participants to create their own collage booklets using a variety of materials - colorful papers, magazines, markers, and even fabric pieces. The activity is open-ended and engaging, allowing everyone to explore textures and assemble as many pages as they like. Each booklet can be fun, inspirational, or reflective, offering participants the freedom to express themselves creatively while enjoying the process. No prior experience is required, just curiosity and imagination!

Materials Available:

  • Blank paper (variety: printer paper, cardstock, construction paper)
  • Magazines, newspapers, and printed images, special books
  • Colored paper (tissue paper, origami paper, scrapbook paper)
  • Fabric scraps (different textures and colors)
  • Scissors (regular and safety scissors for kids)
  • Glue sticks and liquid glue
  • Tape (washi, masking, and clear)
  • Markers (variety of colors)
  • Colored pencils and crayons
  • Pens
  • Stapler or binder clips
  • Stickers and stencils
  • Ribbon, string, or yarn
  • Buttons or beads (flat for easy gluing)

Workshops: Zines & Coloring Station by Buppy Dogs

Location: Booths A01, A03 (view event map)

Price: FREE

Description: This FREE workshop encourages participants to explore self expression with zines & coloring pages. Zines are small handmade booklets that can be anything you want; the possibilities are endless. Buppydogs will also provide original coloring pages with markers. Instructions and supplies are provided by the artist so just show up! Please limit your time at the workshop area to 30 min. Intended for all ages.

Creative Activation: (JUMBO) Live Drawing Photobooth! by @joiecreative

Price: $15 for one person / $20 for two people / +$5 for any additional people or pets

Description: Get yourself a jumbo, hand-drawn photo strip by @joiecreative!

Workshop: DIY Friendship Bracelet Making by Just Peachy Kimmy

Location: Booth B27

Price: $5 per participant

Description: At this DIY Friendship Bracelet Making station, anyone can have unlimited access to our large variety of beads in all colors, shapes, and sizes to make a unique bracelet for themselves or as a gift. Bead materials range from plastic/resin, glass, metal, and crystal. We have plenty of string on hand and the maker Just Peachy Kimmy is also available to help people tie their bracelets once they’re done beading if needed!

Silly Guys Stamp Rally

Description:

  1. Pick up a card from one of the participating artists
  2. Spend a minimum of $5 at each booth
